Today’s topic is one that is close to my heart, so many of us are awakening to the importance of our health, and reclaiming our bodies through exercise, becoming more food conscious, relaxing our minds, and most importantly, learning about our culture through the courage and strength of Indigenous philosophies.

As many of you may already know, unhealthy eating habits, lack of body movement, can cause serious mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, which can be divesting emotionally, physically, spiritually and even economically if you are not prepared financially for some of these things.

Meet one of my favorite Ikwe, the beautiful and caring Jade Harper, creator and founder of SpiritFusion, a yoga practice that infuses a yoga practice with indigenous philosphies, such as the 7 sacred teaches and so much more.

Jade studies indigenous health and wellness, her protocol is to naturally reclaim our mental, emotional and physical health to get whatever health results we desire.

I personally have participated in SpiritFusion’s yoga series, and found the experience to uplift the parts of me I had no idea existed.
